Excursion to the Angara NAU - everything you wanted to know about airplanes

Everything you wanted to know about airplanes and piloting is revealed during air excursions. The meeting point is the Hangar of the National Aviation University (NAU) in Kiev. The hangar itself is unique - it is the largest training hangar in Europe. Its area is 7200 sq. m. and is almost equal to the football field of the Olympic stadium.

More than 10 types of aircraft are presented here: from the only surviving aircraft in the world, the ANT-7, to the Tu-154, the most massive Soviet jet passenger aircraft. And you can see the work of many exhibits live. Of course, everyone knows what an airplane looks like, but how exactly are all its parts launched, setting the huge ship in motion? You will receive answers to all your questions about airplanes. Children will learn the intricacies and secrets of powerful transport, get to know the pilot's profession better and gain knowledge that is not given at school.

During the excursion, they will show how the landing gear is released and the propellers rotate, a real recorder and a black box, and those who wish to steer the aircraft will be allowed to sit at the helm, get naked, after the master class How an Airplane Flies.

Excursion «On Board». Here they will tell everything that interests young fidgets about airplanes, introduce them to the basic principles of aerodynamics, and guide them through a unique training hangar - the largest in Europe! Guests will be able to stay in the pilot's seat in the cockpit and see how it works. You will have a unique opportunity to take cool photos on the background and on the very board of the aircraft - photos that you will not take anywhere else! Photographing is included in the tour price.

Workshop «We Fly Confidently» is a training event of the type of a master class, during which participants, under the guidance of instructors, learn how to use rescue equipment, receive answers to the most popular questions from passengers, have a unique exclusive opportunity to go down the emergency ladder and flap of the aircraft - what can only the crew of the plane do!

Master class on the aircraft simulator «How an Airplane Flies» . At the master class, you will learn the basic principles of the mysterious science of aerodynamics, everything about piloting, see the physics of flight and be able to feel what it is like to sit in the pilot's seat in a real plane.

Flights on light aircraft A-22 (airport). The flight over Kiev, accompanied by an instructor, on the A-22 will appeal to everyone who lacks sharp emotions and sensations. If you have always dreamed of feeling like a pilot of a real plane, now is the time. The place of flight is one of the airports in Kiev, depending on weather conditions.

• Duration - 15 minutes of flight for the crew (1 person and an instructor)

An excursion to the international airport «Kiev» opens the world of an airport closed to ordinary passengers.

As a child, we all fly. Most often in a dream, but if you have to go somewhere with your parents, then in reality. Children love airplanes, because an exciting journey begins with the first steps along the ladder of a modern handsome liner. An airport is a whole city within a city that lives its own life, unknown to us.

The program of the event: check-in at the counter, passage through the aviation security corridor, departure hall, exit to the apron, inspection of apron equipment, travel along the apron, exit to the runway, visit to hangars.

ATTENTION:

To pass the pre-flight and entrance examinations, observe the conditions as quickly as possible - a minimum of personal belongings, the absence of piercing and cutting objects. It is prohibited to carry liquids (water in any container) and food. If you refuse to undergo a personal search, attendance at the event will be denied. Even in hot weather, it's best to take a windbreaker with you.

Temporary passes are issued to visitors. The required data no later than 48 hours before the start of the event - full name, date of birth, passport number / birth certificate. When visiting the excursion, the presence of an identity document is required.

The excursion takes place on the territory of the International Airport «Kiev» (Zhulyany), located in the business center of the capital, 7 km from the city center, taking the 2nd place in Ukraine in terms of the number of flights and passenger traffic.

The airport has three terminals with a total area of 21,000 sq. M. A separate terminal for business aviation - Terminal B, is part of the FBO system. The runway allows receiving aircraft of the B-737, A-320 types.

Flight simulator - the organizers invite you to take control of the legendary TU-134 or AN-2 aircraft

The simulator includes a large cylindrical screen onto which a high-quality detailed image of the outside world is projected (a map of the earth's surface, clouds, runways and other objects). The system for imitating noise and vibration reproduces the engine operating mode, flight speed, movement along the airfield. An unforgettable real flight experience awaits you.

Flights take place on the territory of the educational hangar of the National Aviation University (Prospect Kosmonavta Komarova, 1, building 11).
